    Cannot Get A Successful Connection

-computer and router have been rebooted multiple times
    -uninstalled and reinstalled
-created port forwarding 1802 rules on the firewall settings and in the router settings
-tried multiple port checker websites, all say closed
    -tried ethernet and wifi connection

    nothing has worked

only thing that does work is LAN connectivity

    updater works fine

any new advice is needed and appreciated

    thanks

edit: also, i am brand new to this game. when i first downloaded the demo version, the laptop i tried it on worked, i had a friend try to connect and he did no problem. then i subscribed to the ultimate version, now nothing is working.

You can only port forward tcp1802 to one device.
Remove the previous port forward entry.

Make sure its tcp1802 to tcp1802.

You may have to reboot your router to fully clear the previous entry.
Make sure network on the new computer is set to Private.

Still not working - post a screenshot of your port forward settings

I reset my firewall to default settings. there should be port forwarding rules there now. and i went to the port forwarding settings in my router page and entered the 1802 port. i dont know what else i can do when it comes to port forwarding, and I rebooted the router.

small update: well now the game returns a "successful" connection; online port checker now reads port 1802 open on my ip, but my other computers still cannot externally connect.

Well. I got my friends to try connect and they were able to connect. All I can think of is when I set the port forwarding setting from TCP/UDP to just TCP then rebooted. As to my laptop problem, it may be because they are currently on the same ip so they can only connect internally. Anyway, I believe my problem is fixed. Thanks

Computers on the same network as you use your internal IP to connect. If the players are *all* internal, you don't even need the port forward on the router (that's only to route *external* network traffic to your computer).
