    Archetype Record

I haven't been able to find a clear answer from searching so I'll ask see if anyone knows. What is the Archetype window intended for? It appears to be a free form editor for information but then I noticed it is stored on each character in the bd.xml

I imagine there is some functionality I am missing. If so I'd love some insight. If its just a place to store text in a sort-able fashion then thats all well and good too.

Archetypes are from the Pulp Cthulhu setting. The records are populated with data from the "CoC 7e PC Reference" library module.

I don't know how much automation, if any, is integrated into these archetypes.

Are they used for referencing or do the implement onto the character in some fashion?

EDIT: The Pulp Cthulhu extension adds a place to drag/drop the archetype to the character sheet. But there doesn't appear to be any automation in terms of additional skills, skill points and talents.

Correct. We may automate some of it at a later date, if there is enough demand.

I'd love if the Archetypes would be automated at some point, for both Pulp Cthulhu and Down Darker Trails (when that eventually makes its way to FG) I'm thinking this could be similar to how D&D 5E works when you drop a class in the character sheet, pops up with a list of things you need to select and then it's all added to the sheet

Same goes for the Talents etc - say if a talent has "Gains bonus die on (Skill) checks", that it would automatically add that bonus die. Not all talents that does this however. But would've been really awesome if it did.

Yep. Archetypes is an integral part of Pulp Cthulhu Character Creation and it should be automated!
