Hi all,

there's a brand new announcement from Paizo you shouldn't miss:

Announcing Pathfinder Playtest

And if you're asking yourselves what will be playtested: It is the second edition of Pathfinder. The playtest will start on August 2, 2018. The finished product is scheduled to launch one year later.

What does this mean for PFS? First of all, characters created for 1st edition Pathfinder will not be able to play anything that will be released for the 2nd edition ruleset. That said, there's an entire season 10 planned for 1st edition PFS that will tie up lots of loose ends (at least that's what I'm reading from the announcements. I'm not part of the design team, after all). Also, all scenarios that have been published so far and will be published for season 9 and 10 will stay available and will be able to be reported. So basically, nothing changes for 1st edition PFS except that after season 10 there won't be any new content. After season 10, 2nd edition PFS will launch as a fresh campaign, a bit like SFS did.
