    Any NPC module/products out there?

    Hi everyone,

I have just started DMing a 5e game, and bought all the 5e core books etc (DMG, Volos), but one thing it is missing is all the NPC classes at regular levels. The ideal i would be looking for is each class at levels 1,4,8,12,16,20 (i would love each level but thought would just be greedy) that I could easily make encounters with and s on.

I have bought the skullduggery DLC, but that doesn't come with all classes, and nor is it easy to work out what classes they are (why isn't it obvious!), for instance, it doesn't come with clerics, mages.

Is there a community module/NPC product out there?

    ~Monty.

There's nothing that I am aware of unless you can find something on the DMs Guild. NPCs don't really have classes as such.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Yea, in 5E NPC don't have classes or levels. They might have class abilities though and of course you can build an NPC using PC rules, but their is no need to.

If you want a bunch of NPC built as PCs, one of the folks on here has created a but of pregenerated PC's at various levels and has it for sale on the DMsGuild. NOt sure what it is called though, but you should be able to find it if you search their and include the "Virtual TAble Top" filter for Format.

Thanks for the replies so far. @LordEntrails, I have seen this and bought a set of cleric pre-gen characters, only issue is that they are only for creating PCs as far as i can see - what I need is a bunch of NPCs.

To give you all some context, I am running a Pirate campaign in Golarion using 5e rules. My PCs have a ship and on that ship are pirates/sailors/officers etc. One of their main combatants will be other pirates or sailors on the seas. Hence I will need a bunch of human, dwarf, elf etc - rogues, fighters, mages, clerics and so on. Even their own crew will level up as they get more experience, so i was looking for an easy way to do this, other than to create all the NPCs myself. Happy to buy it if it exists etc.

it might be that I don't yet fully understand how NPCs work in 5e - I might need to do some more research.

pathfinder has a myriad of these options such as the NPC codex below:

I swear I recall one or two of the third party publishers have released NPC books for 5E on Kickstarter, but I'm not sure. Maybe Kobold Press? I did find this one, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...hfinder-and-sa

You can also check out the NPC Engineer in the thread here. It's not a bunch of NPCs, but its a way to get other formatted NPCs into FG.

Two other links to take a look at:

Really appreciate your comment, the Ultimate NPCs Skullduggery is the one I already have. I am just surprised there isn't more out there, considering it is a huge GM time sink to make these, and plenty of GMs like me happy to spend to get it.

Seems like Nord Games are released a kickstarter for Ultimate NPCs: Warfare in January, so I guess I just need to wait

There is at least one stat book on DMs Guild (not FG) that has a ton of NPC - PC converted to NPC stats. It is a PDF, but with NPC Engineer you can easily bring them into FG.

https://www.dmsguild.com/product/172...iate_id=229540 is one I have, but there are a lot more.

I'm the one that did the characters, you are right, they are meant to be used as PCs.

Wow thankyou. I am experimenting now with NPC Engineer (https://www.masq.net/). Such an amazing tool. I bought the book you suggested and now I will be able to create my own module using this - thanks!

You can actually enter the stats pretty fast in the program and make your own NPC module. NPC Engineer is better and faster, but it can be done in the program itself. Do you know how to do that? Making modules is key to creating reusable content.
