CoC7e Fantasy Grounds help needed.
Are there any tutorials out there on getting up and running in CoC 7th using Fantasy Grounds? I just bought the materials and am learning the game. My only other FG experience is 5th edition. When it comes to character creation I can't figure out what is drag and drop, what is manual entry and what automatically updates what.

Hi MTShorts where are in the process of adding a short tutorial button to that new startup window.
From memory the best/correct way to build your investigator using the 7e ruleset is to do the following:
1. Create a blank character (if you have started and are stuck consider making a new one)
2. Roll your Stats - STR thru to POW
3. Open Occupations on right - may have to access from library (these should be on default screen after next update)
4. Drag an Occupation to the Occupations field on the Personal Tab
5. Click the Occupation on your Cha sheet and it should be unlocked. Complete the skill choices (if any have a line under they require a specialisation). Some let you choose what stats your occupation Points are based on. Close the occupation window.
6. Click on Skills and the Edit button. You can now allocate Occupation points to skills with Red check boxes and Personal points to any skill.
That is the most of it from memory.

Good to know. Thanks. This is pretty close to what I was doing, but since I'm going through learning the actual game rules WHILE I'm tinkering I wasn't sure if adding a profession was supposed to automatically add points to the occupation's skills (which it doesn't and I'm guessing isn't supposed to)...

You get to choose how many points you apply to what Occupation Skills. It does apply the minimum required to Credit Rating for your occupation - otherwise its up to you how you spend them. You can only spend them on the RED Skills.
