Is there a way to generate damage in a Story Entry?
How are random damage occurrences handled in story entries? For example, if the player makes a jump and fails he takes 2(1d4) bludgeoning damage. Is there a way I can format this text to roll for damage? Like in Roll20 I can type ! [[1d4]] which is clickable to roll. Is there a way to do something similar in Fantasy Grounds?

Create an NPC (Trap) that has the damage roll as an attack. Put a link to that NPC in your story entry. When you need to do the damage, click on the link for the NPC, then drag and drop the damage onto the CT.

Yeah there is no way to roll any damage outside of the combat tracker, But the great thing about Story is you can link everything to it. So yeah just do what Andraax suggested and create an NPC named Fall Damage and it could do d6 or d4 bludgeoning damage. For example like in 5E it is a d6 for every X amount of feet you fall so just drag and right click for each additional die you need to do. Then it will show as Fall Damage in chat and you can quickly apply it when needed.
