Possible to have Reg License plus Ultimate supscription?

Hi Folks, was thinking about purchasing the regular license, however there are some friends I want to try out D&D and possibly get them interested. Sooo I was thinking if I had the reg licenese is it possible to get a months supscription of the ultimate edition while having the reg licenese? Let them try it as demo users and play while I DM and if they enjoy it they could purchase the reg licenese.. Thats the plan anyway is it possible to do this?

Hi Falkirk, welcome to FG. Not sure you can do that because you can only have one instance of FG installed. Having said that each license has a different key so you may be able to swap them around.

You can change the license key in the FG settings screen - and then run an update to change the license. So you can have an ultimate subscription active. But you won't have two installations - just use the same one and swap they keys when you have your subscription active.

Any purchases are against your FG website login, not your license key, so you can use any purchases you have made.

Additionally - don't cancel the subscription in PayPal until you will stop using the Ultimate license. PayPal informs FG immediately of any cancellations and you subscription license is cancelled at that time as FG has no idea when your subscription would have ended.

iirc if you used the ultimate license upgrade, you still have a valid standard license which you can use for another PC/laptop you own.

Not if you pay for the upgrade. Your old standard license key is cancelled as you have upgraded that to Ultimate and you get a new Ultimate key.

If you take out a new Ultimate license (one off payment or subscription) your standard license is still valid and could be used on another computer you owned.
