RFI - Currency Formats - Everyone's Help Wanted
Hi All,
I need people's help. I need to know what current formats you have seen used in FG for currencies (ie prices) - or for that matter, which ones you'd like to use/see. I'm trying to develop a list of these.
I'll start the ball rolling to give everyone a couple of examples of what I'm looking for:
5GP (and SP, EP, PP, CP, etc)
5 GP (note the "space")
5Gp
5gp
5.5gp
5 Gold (& Silver, Platinum, etc)
1 Gold Piece
5 Gold Pieces
$1
$1.37
2/6
£1-1s-0d
£1/1/-
13/3
13s
3d
15Cr
15 Credits
So, that's the type of thing I'm looking for. If you seen/used anything that's not on the above list or not in any of the posts below, then please let me know.
Thanks in advance
CheersDulux-Oz

Plenty of settings have falvoured coins - crowns, ducats etc but they would still likely be counted as gp, sp etc....

Your right - but what I'm after is the format of how the currency/price is recorded

I can't think of any formats other than the ones you've got D-O. Anything I can think of is just a substitution of £ or gp
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Only thing I can think of, from real life, not a game are the country qualifiers for dollars.
$1USD (US dollar)
$1 USD
US$1
$1CAN (Canadian dollar)
$1 CAN
CAN$1
MEX$1 (Mexican peso)
1 peso
$a1 (Argentinian peso)
More can be found on this page, and it loads more as you scroll down; https://www.investopedia.com/terms/f...inian-peso.asp
and the Euro symbol (which I don't know how to typo!)

I think Dark Sun uses steel coins as currency. I don't remember what the abbreviation is for it though. There is also a different coin in the Dragonlance setting if I remember right.
EDIT:
Dark Sun Currency
ceramic pieces = 1 cp
ceramic bits = 1 bit
Dragonlance
A bunch of weird coins.
1 steel coin
1 iron coin

I never claimed to be sane. Besides, it's more fun this way.
