Getting savage while balancing some encounters
Playtesting some savage encounters for balancing purposes (aka trying to make it possible to barely survive), I just love how really savage it can get. Gotta love the dead markers on Savage Worlds ruleset.

Yea, they're from a very nice game called Battle Brothers. They really fit my low fantasy game since most of the enemies are other humans (bandits and mercenaries) or goblins/orcs. I changed mails with the creators suggesting them to create a sort of token generator tool but they're short in time but let me use their assets for my own gaming table.
They're so cool that I made different tokens for each weapon a character has and for each wound level and taking account if the character had been previously bandaged. Also each NPC on that fight were the same type: Bandit. But I've managed to easily make a different token for each one to give a unique look, so my players don't just go "I attack bandit 3" but "I attack the blonde guy with an axe in hand".
These are in detail, each line represents a wound. First line is the token with no armor/helmet. The one in the right still lacks some tokens tough.

They said I could try making a token generator, but right now I lack the coding skills to create a nice working software. They said that if I ever were able to they would make it available on their blog for the community, so there might be a chance of having them for free.
But right now I've used gimp to set up the assets into different layers sorted by category, so it's just a matter of selecting wich asset you want visible to "dress" the token and then export it as .png when it's finished. So far I've finished the Human, Orc and the Undead one which is just a feature to add on top of the human one, basically you can just make a human character undead so you could have undead version of previously living characters :P
I still have to make some adjustments and have to finish the Goblin one, when I'm done I'll contact them and say that they can just share the Gimp files I created on their website if they want to. Or maybe I'll find someone who can create a proper software these beautiful tokens deserve.

Those would be awesome if they'd license the tokens for sale!

I'd pay for a licensed set of those for FG. They would fit in perfectly with the SW setting I am working on.
FG:Unity Ultimate License Holder: Meaning anyone can join my games, even those with just the Demo . . .

Currently Running: An Old-School Essentials campaign, set in Hârn . . . Here is the discord channel -> Hârnic OSE.
Current Design Project: Developing a stand-alone "Hârnic 5e" setting for OSE and Fifth Edition . . .

Yea, that's why I contacted them in first place, I wanted to buy the tokens because I liked it so much that I was cutting from screenshots I took of my characters in the game. It sounds like if they got someone to make a "character dressing" token maker tool they'd release for the community, but I really don't see why they wouldn't want to grab an extra cash from this or maybe they just want to use it to make their game more popular. I really don't know what's on their minds but they are REALLY NICE guys.
Maybe if we can get a good amount of interested people and show them we want to buy their stuff as tokens, but right now we can support them by buying their game: https://battlebrothersgame.com/buy-battle-brothers/
Maybe I'll be able to release the work I've done using Gimp and since Gimp is free we call could get really nice tokens. Or maybe they'll want to charge for it. All I know is that I'm in love with their artwork.
