I would agree but both machines were running Win 10.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Windows 10 has different subversions or builds, each introducing new features to the os and potentially changing things.

But this is not Linux and MS do not break backward compatibility, therefore the location in the registry where items are registered to be displayed in Add/remove program and where the files needed for the uninstallation are unchanged. So it leaves only the installer used by FG.
The past is a rudder to guide us, not an anchor to hold us back.

Ok so here is how you uninstall (in case no one ever gave you the answer) as I also had this problem (which is how I wound up here lol) If you click the start menu scroll to fantasy grounds and expand the folder tree there is a selection to uninstall Fantasy Grounds. Hope that helps!

(I still plan to use it, as well as my character data, just want to wipe and reinstall the app)

    Here are some background notes:

I originally downloaded FG via the www.fantasygrounds.com site and not through Steam.
I installed FG to default locations.
The FG app does not appear using the typical Windows 10 uninstall process, ie Start Menu > Settings > System > Select Apps & features (as a side question, I'd also like to understand why it doesn't appear here)
I have already tried to re-install FG using your website in the hopes of finding the uninstaller. It did not appear.
I have already tried using the command line to uninstall, ie "C:\Program Files (x86)\Fantasy Grounds II\FantasyGroundsUpdater.exe" -u and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Fantasy Grounds\FantasyGroundsUpdater.exe" -u

    Thanks for your help!

For what it's worth to the discussion the app doesn't show on the "Programs and Features" section as something I can uninstall.

I can however type in the name "FantasyGrounds" in the start button/search field and it shows up in my list. Right clicking it gives an uninstall option.

I run windows 10 pro v1803 (build 17134.286) on my desktop.

It's not in my add/remove programs. The start menu only has an option to their website. When I type fantasygrounds in start menu, the app comes up, but right clicking it does nothing.

Manually deleting the directory is obviously not ideal. It's a bit disappointing such a standard feature as uninstall is missing, considering I'm having the stuttering issues so many others seem to be having, and I'm wanting to simply uninstall and reinstall it to see if it fixes the issue.

    And I use Windows 7.

One of the weirdness things with Windows 10 is that it maintains two separate lists in two separate uninstall systems. One is the general app manager accessed through the settings button the other is the older uninstaller which is accessed via the legacy control panel (just type control in the search bar and click control panel). I generally find that if it isn't in one it is in the other.

Another method that often works is ccleaner. It is a free application that makes it easy to remove many things including unused registry entries. I find it often finds things the other two don't find. Plus it also does a good job clearing a lot of default undeletable Windows 10 apps to boot. https://www.ccleaner.com/home
