Long time user, first time I'm joining a project on this forum.
I'm a brazilian D&D player, and will join forces with everyone to bring those rulesets to my native language. I have the intention to work on CoreRPG, the 3.5 ruleset (but not Pathfinder), and the 4E ruleset.
Core is done, and uploaded on this post. I'll do my best to keep it up to date.
I'm having some trouble with the 4E ruleset, since after I finished the translations, it seems that my monsters when being dragged into the CT are automatically changing their attack strings to the translated defense names, and when they roll to attack, it returns a null value from the target character. Anyone was having the same problem before? For ease of debugging, I uploaded it as well, and will re-upload when I fix that bug.

Hey Trobadork, we are actually working on an extension to get skill names in french, as it's not possible at this moment within the lpacks. Stay tuned it should be ready very soon (in fact it's already done - we are testing it at this time)

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I've been a tad quite - I've had a lot of things on my plate. I'll be working on bringing the LPaks and this Thread up-to-date over the next little bit, so please, stay with us (and please, forgive me).
I'll be updating the Source String Files as soon as we know that FGV3.3.2 is ready (ie when it is released) and so I just wanted to let everyone know that things are still progressing with the LPaks.
I also wanted to ask the Translators' experience/advice on using tools such as Zanata (zantra.org) and/or Jabylon (jabylon.org) - I'm thinking about streamlining the LPak Framework and possibly integrating one or the other of these two tools to help us stay on top of things and also to provide for easier translations. So have people used either or both of these tools and what has been the experience? Do the Project Members (or others) think that moving to these tools will be of benefit (realising that there might be a "learning curve" for us to go through)?
Basically, I'm looking for some input - so if you've got an opinion - especially if its backed up by experience - then please let us know

Hi Dulux-Oz,
i have no experience of these tools but they are looking very promising. I think it is a realy good idea to manage the Lpak tranlastaion with one of these tools. It will give us a better way e.g to tranlaste in teams or to reuse translation for new FG ruleset versions. And the current LPak version could be better organized within that WEB tools as it is currently possible within the forum threat.
So i am willed to learn one of these tools if the LPak team members came to the conclusion to use them !
regards
drvolk

Hi All,
OK, as an experiment / to try things out, I've set up a translation project on Zanata (zanata.org) called the FG LPak Project. It only contains the string files from the CoreRPG (at the moment).
If people would like to have a look at Zantra and the FG LPak Project and perhaps start doing some translations to see how to use the Zantra website then we can evaluate how useful it is to us. You will need to sign up for a free account on Zantra and there are (or seems to be) full instructions on the site as well.
So, please, check things out and provide us with some feedback. If things prove helpful I'll move the rest of the Rulesets and Extensions over to Zantra and update this Thread and LPak Framework document (and place it on Zantra as well)
Cheers

I do not seem to be able to log in or register to the site. And I cannot find anything on zantra.org which resembles a collaborative platform, just advertising for WordPress templates. Good templates, yes, but nothing that we could use for FG.
Either I have become too old to learn new technologies (possible...), or perhaps this platform is not so stable and user friendly as we need.
Edit: or perhaps the reason might be that the platform is zanata.org, and not zantraLast edited by RosenMcStern; September 2nd, 2017 at 13:58.
