Really? this is what I read:

The old feat can't be one you used as a prerequisite for a feat, class feature, archetype, prestige class, or other ability. If the old feat is a bonus feat granted by a class feature, you must replace it with a feat that you could choose using that class feature.

Note that this retraining is unrelated to the fighter ability to learn a new bonus feat in place of an old one at certain class levels. That class ability is free, happens instantly when the character gains an appropriate fighter level, doesn't require a trainer, and can happen only once for any appropriate fighter level. Retraining a feat requires you to spend gp, takes time, requires a trainer, and can happen as often as you want.

At the GM's discretion, this training cost could be up to 50% higher or lower, depending on situational factors within the settlement—availability of trainers, local economy, cost of materials, and so on.
I don't see anything about PP, am I missing something?

would it be cheaper to retrain a level?

Also Aren't I technically still level 3 for the purposes of retraining? I haven't advanced to level 4 yet with the game we just played, so really still level 3. right?

Aw, shucks, guys - Enora is just a little old level 4 Arcanist pregen. Although, the 4d6=16 doesn't happen often. That is like Burning Hands Yahtzee!!

And a special prize for Victor:

@Trueshots. What you're reading is from the PRD, which doesn't include PFS rules. The last sentence on Page 10 of the Season 6 PFS Guide talks about PP cost under the "Character Retraining" section.

And yes, since you haven't leveled yet, I believe you are still able to retrain as 3rd. But might want to double-check that.

Yeah Trueshots, there is a static cost of 1pp a day that a retrain uses which is static no matter your level. Retraining a feat is always five days and thus 5pp. You still want that purchase?

I really have no option when I take my bard level I'll no longer need weapon finesse, so gotta get rid of it, it will be cheaper now. Do I count as lvl 3 or 4 for the purposes of this retraining?

Ok, let's do it. Think that's only 150 gold then

Xazil, here is Logus' chronicle that gets him to 4th with the information the Emerald Spire chronicle was needing. If you have any questions, let me know.

Actually, Xazil, if you're ok with it, I can just plug the necessary numbers into the sheet you already sent me and then resave it. Up to you.
