Looking for a group/game to show me the ropes.

While I'm not totally new to RPG's, I am a bit new to D&D, and online tabletop gaming as well. That said... are there any games going that allow fairly new newbs to join, in order to show them the ropes and meet new people? I would love to play on FG but, am will to try other software if need be.
